Christina Shoshilos, M.S., M.S.
Christina Shoshilos is a doctoral candidate (4th-year doctoral student) in the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), where she also earned her MS in Clinical Psychology. Previously, she completed an MS in Experimental Psychology and a BS in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s University. Her clinical training emphasizes evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and other specialized interventions.
Currently, Christina is in her second training year at the Center for Cognitive Therapy (CCT) at the University of Pennsylvania, where she delivers tailored CBT interventions for various conditions, including anxiety, depression, OCD, personality disorders, and life stressors. Her previous roles include conducting diagnostic assessments and providing treatment for eating disorders, perinatal mental health issues, PTSD, and body image concerns. She integrates motivational interviewing and acceptance-based approaches into her work and has extensive experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive client care.
Christina’s research interests focus on women’s reproductive health and the intersection of maternal stress, disordered eating, and mental health in the postpartum period. Her dissertation, which examines the relationship between infertility, disordered eating, and quality of life in postpartum women, earned her the David Miller, DO ’60, Endowed Memorial Research Day Award in Psychology at PCOM’s Research Day 2024. She has presented her work in professional settings and remains actively engaged in research that informs her clinical practice.
